The Grinton Parish Council decided to mark the millennium by commissioning Mr. Pete Row to make a photographic record of the Parish residents, the life in the Parish, the buildings and houses and the views along the Dale.
An engraved mounted picture was also made and presented to all the school-age children in the Dale.
